Doubled footprint in size, only two years after initial opening
Continuously increasing parts portfolio and created room for up to 10,000 line items with targeted availability of >90%
Strong partnership with DSV for warehouse operations
Singapore/ Singapore: Jungheinrich doubles the footprint of its Regional Distribution Centre in Singapore to almost 1,000 pallet locations and up to 10,000 line items. Jungheinrich customers throughout the entire Asia-Pacific region will benefit from shortened lead times and increased genuine spare parts availability.
Thanks to the enhanced storage capacities, a wider range of spare parts will be available. Orders will be ready for shipment to our Jungheinrich entities, partners and service teams in the region as fast as on the same day of order in urgent cases – thanks to 24/7 access in emergency cases.
“The extension marks another step in Jungheinrich’s commitment to the APAC region and the regional hub in Singapore, especially during times of unprecedented global challenges. In addition to the big step in availability improvement for our genuine spare parts, we minimize our residual on-demand shipments by air from our Global Distribution Center in Germany and as such contribute to a greener and more sustainable parts logistics.” says Alexander Witthoff, Director for After Sales in Asia Pacific.
Through continuous investment and expansion, Jungheinrich demonstrates its readiness to meet future demands promptly. This also accounts for the ‘new normal’: Despite limitation to virtual meetings only during Covid times, the project team with participants from corporate After Sales in Germany, DSV Singapore and Regional After Sales APAC achieved an on-time Go-Live.
