Jungheinrich donates forklift to support Willing Hearts’ efforts in distributing 9,500 over daily meals across Singapore

Singapore/Singapore: In February 2021, Willing Hearts reached out to the mass public through social media in need of material handling equipment. Jungheinrich Singapore chance upon the post and reached out to them.

An on-site survey was arranged to get a deeper understanding of Willing Hearts’ operational challenges. From that visit, it was learned that Willing Hearts has been manually unloading huge pallets of raw food donations from the lorry onto the ground. This method of operation was not just labour intensive and time-consuming but increases the risk of injury for the volunteers.

It was very clear then; Jungheinrich Singapore had the solution to resolve their problem. With the EJC B14 electric pedestrian pallet truck, not only did it effectively reduced the massive amount of time taken for unloading, but it had also eliminated the potential risk on volunteers due to the manual labour work.

Willing Hearts is a local non-profit organization that runs mainly by volunteers, focuses on providing cooked meals to those who fall into the underprivileged community.
